CASTELLANZA
Castellanza is a small town located a short train ride from Milan, the capital of sophisticated Italian design and a major tourist and cultural attraction, from the Alps and from the famous Italian lake district. The region around Castellanza is not only one of the most beautiful in Europe, it is also a highly productive and dynamic business environment based on small and medium-sized firms that compete globally on the basis of their quality and sophisticated design. Instruction in Accounting 230, by an ASU instructor, is at the University Carlo Cataneo. On the weekends, students will have ample opportunity to explore Italy and adjacent countries. |
| Eligibility: |
Students must have sophomore standing to take this course. This course is open to non-business students who meet the above criteria. Applications and a $275 non-refundable deposit are due on or before February 5, 2007. Applications received after that date will be considered on a space available basis. |

ACC 230 Uses of Accounting I (3)
This course introduces the uses of financial accounting information for decision making from an external perspective within the context of the evolution of the business cycle.

Living
Accommodations: |
Students will be lodged in the University’s modern dormitory (two students per suite in a shared room and connecting bathroom, communal kitchen facilities, cleaning and linen change twice weekly). |
| Cost: |
The cost of $1,415 (subject to possible change) includes classroom facilities, pick-up to/from airport in Milan, welcome and farewell receptions and orientation session, three meals per day when on campus Monday-Thursday (breakfast only Friday-Sunday), housing and three excursions. Not included: ASU Tuition and fees, airfare, some meals, passport fees, school supplies, and other personal expenses. |
