The Mary Lou Fulton College of Education is offering a comparative education course to be partially held in San Jose, Costa Rica. This program provides a comprehensive introduction to Costa Rica’s educational environment, system and policies, and offers students an opportunity to combine the study of higher education with the culture of Central America. |

Applications with a $275 deposit are due on or before April 13th, 2007. Enrollment is limited and students are strongly encouraged to register as soon as possible. |
Academic
Program: |
This course will provide an overview of Costa Rica’s education system and an opportunity to assess higher education in a global context. Students will have an opportunity to examine similarities and differences between the systems. Students will also be exposed to policies and practices that relate to higher education which transcend our borders. Students must enroll for 3 credit hours.

Students will be housed, double-occupancy, in local hotels. |

The cost of $1,272 (subject to possible change) includes: all lodging, all transportation in Costa Rica, scheduled cultural/educational tours, some meals, and local transportation. Not included: ASU Tuition and fees, transportation to and from San Jose, Costa Rica, visa and passport fees, books, remaining meals and personal expenses. |
