Founded in 1971, the ASU Student Foundation is a 40 member paraprofessional/honorary organization co-sponsored by the Department of Student Development and the ASU Foundation.The mission of the ASU Student Foundation is two-fold:
1) To provide service to the campus community by raising funds to award annual scholarships to current ASU students.
2) To assist the ASU Foundation and the Presidents Office in their cultivating and fundraising efforts.
Q. How does the ASU Student Foundation raise money?

The ASU Student Foundation has annual fundraisers in which the profits are deposited into an endowment. From the interest accrued off of this endowment, as well as sponsorship support, the ASU Student Foundation is able to award scholarships to current ASU students each year.Ongoing/Annual Fundraisers include:
A. Serving as ambassadors of the university, the members of the ASU Student Foundation assist the ASU Foundation, the Presidents Office, and the Development Officers with their cultivating and fundraising efforts by acting as hosts at various donor events including: receptions, lunches, dinners, and athletic functions. In addition, ASU Student Foundation members play an active role in ASUs "Campaign for Leadership" $400 million capital campaign.
ASU Student Foundation members also serve on one of the five organizational committees:
Events, Executive Board, Fundraising, Membership, and Scholarship .
Q. Why should you join the ASU Student Foundation?

If you are interested in the following:then you are strongly encouraged to participate in the ASU Student Foundation selection process.
The membership selection process includes the following:
1) receive a nomination from an ASU faculty/staff member, or current ASU Student Foundation member
2) attend an Information Reception
3) complete an application
4) sign up for an interview
5) interview for the ASU Student Foundation
*The ASU Student Foundation selection process occurs in the spring semester to cap our membership at the maximum number of 40.
