Martin Luther King, Jr. (January 15, 1929 – April 4, 1968) was a famous leader of the American civil rights movement, a political activist, and a Baptist minister. In 1964, King became the youngest man to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize (for his work as a peacemaker, promoting nonviolence and equal treatment for different races). On April 4, 1968, Dr. King was assassinated in Memphis, Tennessee.

Golden Key is holding its first 2008:
"Golden Key Storytimes"
On Saturday January 26th, from 2 to 4 PM, we will be at the Tempe Public Library holding a reading day for the children at the library. Our main purpose is to give the children a chance to sit down and enjoy a few good stories read by Golden Key members. We are still looking for a few volunteers willing to join us. Again, your only duty will be reading to anyone willing to listen. All the books will be provided and will consist of mostly picture books.
This is going be an easy, but more importantly, FUN event. Further questions, please contact Matt Kolano, President. Respond as soon as you can.

Welcome Back Event: Wednesday, January 30th at 4:00PM will be our first Golden Key General meeting of 2008! It will be located in the Physical Education West Building in room 140. (PEB W 140). We will be introducing our new EBoard staff as well as planning amazing ideas and events for the Spring. Pizza and drinks will be served and anyone is welcome to attend!
