The Living Well Network at ASU is made up of Campus Health, Campus Recreation, Counseling and Consultation, and Wellness and Health Promotion, and provides various presentations, programs, and services to help students lead healthy lives and reach their academic and personal goals. Wellness & Health Promotion Overview

WHP 101

Learn about the connection between health and academic performance, explore data about ASU student health and health behaviors, and receive information about the wellness resources provided by ASU Wellness and Health Promotion and various campus departments.

Alcohol & Other Drugs

Let’s Talk About It

Students participate in this activity-based presentation designed to provoke discussion and self-awareness about drinking-related behaviors and perceptions among college students. It is an interactive simulation/game that encourages discussion of alcohol-related choices and behaviors among students and their peers. (Minimum Attendance: 12, Maximum Attendance 35)

Depression & Suicide Prevention

Awareness Training

Participants will explore the impact of depression and suicide among college students, increase awareness of ways to reduce risk and enhance protective factors to prevent suicidal behavior, identify early warning signs of distress, and gain information about resources available for students.

Skill Building Training

Participants will review and discuss concepts learned and applied in Awareness Training. Presentation activities will engage participants in active listening, conceptualizing proactive ways to enhance protective factors and reduce risk for distress, increasing comfort and effectiveness at recognizing, responding, and referring when signs of distress are evident in a peer or family member.

Healthy Relationships

How to Have Healthy Relationship

Students learn the building blocks of healthy relationships, how to recognize unhealthy relationship characteristics, and develop skills to build healthier relationships.

Sexual Violence

Sexual Violence Prevention

Students learn about the roots of sexual violence, the meaning of consent, and the importance of verbally communicating about sex and boundaries.

Stress Management

Live Well with Stress at ASU

Students explore the stress response, discuss common stressors, and learn how to manage stress while increasing energy.
