Mission

The Mission of the ASU Veterans Upward Bound (VUB) Program is to provide students with the academic skills and motivational support that results in successfully completing a four year college degree or equivalent.

About the Program

The Veterans Upward Bound (VUB) Program at Arizona State University is an educational and skills program designed to prepare veterans discharged under conditions other than dishonorable for success in post-secondary education, G.E.D. preparation and/or for personal growth.

VUB is funded by the U.S. Department of Education and administered by Arizona State University. Instruction, counseling, textbooks, and supplies are provided free of charge. The program offers courses in English, math and computers.Classes are held four days/evenings per week (Monday through Thursday) throughout the year. Our program is open entry; therefore we are able to start new students weekly.

The progam is approved by the Veterans Administration and if applicable, you may receive your GI educational benefits while attending this program.
