PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN - Javiar Jorge Villalpando, formerly a Mexican national, was naturalized as a U.S. citizen Sept. 27 along with 2,700 immigrants in one of the largest ceremonies in Arizona history. The ceremony took place in the University Activity Center.
