- A student government senatorial candidate filed an appeal to the Associated
Students of ASU Supreme Court Thursday in hopes that the decision that
shot down his complaint will be overturned.
Think cheating is no big deal? A bill in the U.S. Senate could make
it a federal beef to cheat in a class, or help someone cheat.
The Tempe City Council bowed to requests by the Associated Students
of ASU Thrusday, agreeing to consider its proposal to provide for a permanent
student position on the Rio Salado Advisory Commission.
- A bill that would add another class to the elementary education curriculum
passed the halfway mark in the Arizona Legislature this week. But ASU education
officials say the law is unnecessary.
- Organizers for ASU's annual Christmas in April are looking for an additional
100 volunteers to renovate a Phoenix School Saturday.
- Six ASU students have been chosen to soar above--way above--the earth,
beginning the day they graduate.

Beep-Beep-Beep-Beep-Beep. Don't turn off the life-support systems just
yet, the heart-attack kids did it once again.
The No. 16 ASU baseball team plays UCLA this weekend starting at 7 tonight
at Packard Stadium, but Sun Devil fans might have two Arizona teams to
root for ... and the Diamondbacks aren't the other one.
The 10th-ranked ASU men's golf team hopes to take full advantage of
its experience on Karsten Golf Course, as the Sun Devils host their only
regular season tournament of the year, the Thunderbird/SAVANE Invitational
Saturday and Sunday.
Jeremy Staat, Damien Richardson and Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Year
Pat Tillman lead the list of Sun Devils likely to be selected this weekend
in the 1998 NFL Draft.
It's time once again for the NFL Draft, the time of year when pretenders
transform into contenders, and rumors fly fast and furious around the NFL
landscape. It's also the time when every college senior (and those juniors
who left early) are graded and ranked on everything from their speed, to
their height to the number of children they have fathered out of wedlock.
When the 35th-ranked ASU men's tennis team takes to the courts at the
Whiteman Tennis Center for the final time this season on Saturday, the
battle cry will be "revenge!"
The ASU track and field team will resume scoring this weekend at the
USTCA/Pepsi Invitational at Eugene, Ore.
Men's Soccer, Lacrosse, Women's Water Polo...The ASU men's club
soccer team held its first four-on-four tournament April 8 at the band
fields with great response. Over 40 soccer players came out to display
their skills in hopes of making the team when they begin play next year.
