NORTH NEIGHBORHOOD
News from PV Main and San Pablo (SPAM)

HAVE YOU HEARD THE NEWS?!?
Thank you to everyone for making the 8th annual SPAM Luau that was held on April 20th such a huge success. For those that missed out, we had authentic luau food catered by Aramark along with sno cones and popcorn. Several residents took part in events ranging from the 5-person climbing ball to jousting.
SPAM IS CLOSING!
Over the past two weeks and for the upcoming two weeks, SPAM Community Assistants (CA) have been and will continue to hold closing floor meetings so that all residents have the opportunity to hear first hand how and when SPAM is closing. All residents are highly encouraged to attend their floors closing meetings and ask any questions that you may have. If unable to attend any of these meetings, the highlighted information can be found on any SPAM bulletin board throughout the community.
All residents are being asked to sign up for a check-out appointment with their specific CA no more than 24 hours after your LAST FINAL EXAM. If your CA is not available during the time in which you want to check-out, please talk with your CA or another CA in your wing so that your time can be accommodated. All residents are being asked to have their check-out appointments scheduled prior to reading day – Wednesday, April 30 – so that the staff can begin to prepare! Failure to sign up for a check-out appointment or failure to show for your scheduled check-out appointment could result in an improper check-out fee.
The very last final ends at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7. Therefore, the last check-out appointment will begin at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 8. San Pablo & PV Main will be closing on Thursday, May 8 to ALL RESIDENTS! If you find that you have questions or have extenuating circumstances as to why you cannot be out by Thursday, May 8, please schedule an appointment with any SPAM Pro Staff member by contacting the front desks. We wish you the best of luck on your final exams!

News from PV East & West (PLEX)

We hope that you all had a blast at our “Movie Premier Party” or our “Snow Day” program. I hope you also enjoyed our “Comedy Night in the Hub.”
Now even though we have some great events that are still to come, it is with sadness that our time together is coming to a close. We have had a great year together and hope that all of you are preparing for what lies ahead.
As you prepare for leaving the halls, I want you all to stop and think about how you will transition to summer. Below is a list of tips to get you started:
ATTEND YOUR FINAL FLOOR MEETING
Provide your CA with information concerning the date/time of your last final exam & the time/date that you will be leaving.
Take down your loft and empty, unplug, and defrost your refrigerator (put towel under fridge opening to collect water and avoid carpet cleaning charges) and deliver to pick up area between San Pablo and PV Main between 8 a.m. & 3 p.m. on Monday, April 28.
Return borrowed items to their owner
Clean your room completely, including vacuuming and/or sweeping and wiping down/scrubbing all surfaces with cleaning solution.
Remove all items from the room; this should be done prior to you coming to the desk to check out.
WE WILL NOT CHECK YOU OUT IF YOU STILL HAVE STUFF IN YOUR ROOM
Meet your CA at your pre-scheduled time to check out. If you are late you may miss your check-out and get charged.
Turn in your room key and UPS Store Key to the CA at checkout.
Provide the CA with your forwarding information or you will not have mail forwarded to you.

So if you have any suggestions, please see your CA or Hall Council Representative and tell them what you want.
Or How About Lunch? ...
Invite any of your professional staff members out to lunch at Manzy. We can sit and talk about how you can make a difference at MANZY. We’re hungry and low on M&G.
