UPS Recycling

So you know where to recycle your soda cans and newspapers. But what to do with that used ink cartridge? Or your old cell phone? Bring them with you when you check your mail, of course!

The UPS Store at ASU has partnered with ASU Recycling and University Housing to bring you ink/toner cartridge and cell phone/small electronics recycling. Look for the collection bins in The UPS Store at ASU at Hassayampa II and at Palo Verde East, as well as near the mailboxes at Center Complex, Adelphi I, University Towers, Cholla, and McClintock. Just drop your stuff in the bin and be on your way!

Thank you for doing your part to reduce waste at ASU!

The Office of Student Rights & Responsibilities - FAQs

Q: What is disciplinary probation and what does it mean to be on disciplinary probation?

A: Disciplinary probation is the removal of the student from good disciplinary standing for a stated period of time due to the student’s violating the Student Code of Conduct. Additional restrictions or conditions may also be imposed and probation will not be lifted until conditions or restrictions have been met.

Being on disciplinary probation means that the Office of Student Rights & Responsibilities is aware of your inappropriate behavior and after meeting with you, is providing you an opportunity to change that behavior.

It is important to know that any future or additional violations of the Student Code of Conduct while on probation may result in further disciplinary action, which may include suspension or expulsion from the University.

Q: If I’m placed on disciplinary probation, will it appear on my transcript or affect my financial aid?

A: No. Disciplinary probation is not a sanction that would warrant a notation on a student’s transcript. However, in very serious conduct cases that result in expulsion or suspension from the university, or revocation of a degree, a notation may appear on a student’s transcript; this action is dependent on the severity of the code violation.

Disciplinary probation, in and of itself, cannot negatively impact your financial aid eligibility. There are some private scholarships and on-campus jobs, however, that require a student to be in good disciplinary standing, so being on disciplinary probation could negatively impact that income.
