Recruitment for 2010-2011 University Housing (Tempe campus) Student Leader Positions ASU University Housing at the Tempe campus is beginning recruitment for 2010-2011 student leader positions. Information sessions will be held throughout November and December to promote these involvement opportunities. Applicants who are considering applying for a position will want to attend any of these information sessions to learn more about the positions and hear from student leaders who are currently in the positions. More information about the actual application and interview process will be shared at the information sessions. |
RHA Lends A Helping Hand by Brittany Greer The Residence Hall Association is lucky enough to have an Associate Director of Community Engagement committed to planning fun and creative community service events. Over one hundred members of the Residence Hall Association have participated in over ten hours of community service over the past month. |
North Neighborhood Manzanita Hall Manzanita Hall has been busy with lots of community building programs this past month, including a Tour De Manzy featuring International foods & facts. There is an AWESOME Weekly ASU Trivia Question on Twitter---Follow us at Manzyhall. October also featured the Manzy Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre in Manzy Square and 15 Floors of Horrors for Halloween. Watch out for the details of a “Ladies Only” Self-Defense session on November 5th and Manzanita presents “North Nation’s Got Talent “ on November 14th. Center Neighborhood Engaging the Center Neighborhood Experience It is amazing to think how the semester is already more than halfway through with Thanksgiving and Winter Break just around the corner! This past month has been a very active one in Best, Irish, Hayden, and McClintock Halls. It’s not too late to get involved in Center Hall Council! Even if you haven’t attended yet, there’s still time! Hall Council meets on Tuesday nights at 7:00 p.m. in Best C 119 (except the last Tuesday of each month which is held in the McClintock Lounge). Hello Center Neighborhood! We hope you made it through your mid-terms with ease and enjoyed family weekend and Homecoming! Now, the semester is winding down and winter break is almost here! So keep up the good work and start getting ready for finals. Remember that there is a Student Success Center in the Memorial Union to help you out (especially at this time) so check out www.asu.edu/lss for everything that’s offered FREE to you for being a resident on campus. McClintock Updates Power Outage. Thanks to everyone for being so understanding when it came to the power outages in the last few weeks. Everything should be up and running and it shouldn’t be a problem for the rest of the year. We hope you enjoyed the “McClintock at the Movies” program to get you out of the building during the shutdown. WTF?! Remember that the “What’s Thursdays Film” series is still going on throughout the month of November every Thursday in the McClintock Lounge at 8:00 p.m. Come hang out and see a different film each week…and get some food! Thanks to everyone who has already come out to eat some smores, frost cookies or carve pumpkins! Best, Hayden, Irish Updates Both the Community Assistants and Hall Council Programmer put on some great events in October including a Volleyball Tournament, Quesadilla Fiesta in Arcadia, Spooning in a Hammock in Irish B&C, Songs and Suds (every Sunday in the Best Extension Laundry Room) and more! South Neighborhood Hassayampa (HAV) HAV would like to thank everyone who supported the HAV floats for the Homecoming parade!! We had two floats, one for Hassa (HAV I) and one for Yampa (HAV II).
