Rez Devilz are representatives of Arizona State University and its residence halls. They serve as a liaison between Residential Life staff and prospective students, by answering questions, showcasing their rooms and supporting Residential Life staff. Rez Devilz are student-staff members, living in the residence halls, who organize hall tours for prospective students and visitors, staff the front desk, assist with move-in and welcome week, and support Hall Council.

What do Rez Devilz do?

  • Work 8 hours at the front desk each week
  • Maintain a clean and orderly room that represents a typical student room
  • Attend all scheduled meetings and training sessions
  • Attend one hall council meeting each month
  • Assist with residence hall move-in activities
  • Assist with Welcome Week activities
  • Serve as a representative of ASU to prospective students and visitors

Requirements

  • Undergraduate students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 at the time of application and while holding the position
  • Graduate students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 at the time of application and while holding the position
  • Undergraduate students must be enrolled in 12-18 credit hours
  • Graduate students must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours
  • Rez Devilz must accept employment for a ten month period-beginning with August training and concluding at the end of the Spring semester
  • Rez Devilz must be in good standing with Residential Life and Student Life

Who is an ideal candidate?

One who possesses all of the requirements as well as the following:

  • Great public speaking, time management, organizational, and communications skills
  • Leadership, teamwork, and professionalism and the ability to represent Residential Life and the university
  • Attention to detail and diligence

  • Compensation of $6.75 or $7.15 (dependant upon time of

Recruitment Process:

Interested applicants need to complete and submit an Rez Devil application. Applicants should reference the checklists that are included in the downloadable application. The completed application should be submitted to the Residential Life office located in the Student Services Building, Room 170. Positions are available in most of the residence halls.

Selection process

The selection process for fall positions take place each year in January ending in April. April is when candidates are notified of their selection status for the following academic year. We may also conduct smaller selection processes for our available spring and summer positions.
