Phone lines
All ASU residence hall rooms are equipped with a phone jack. To activate service, you must download and complete the application form at www.asu.edu/studentaffairs/reslife/telephone.htm and submit to Residential Life by mail or fax. Students will be charged a $35.00 installation fee plus a $135 per academic year cost for the actual service. Applying for service prior to move-in is suggested in order to avoid a delay in service activation. Telephone and accessories are not provided by Residential Life. Campus community phones are provided in common areas of the residence halls.
Community telephones will be available in strategic locations on each floor of the residence halls providing access to emergency 9-1-1 services as well as free local calling.
Long Distance Telephone Service
Long distance calling from your landline telephone will require the use of a calling card.Activation Requests
To request activation of landline telephone service, download and print the Request for Phone Line Activation and follow the instructions on the form. Priority deadline for completing July 31st, 2008. Requests received after this date are subject to a 4-6 waiting period before the phone line is active.
You will be notified via email with your new phone number once it has been activated. Please provide a current email address on your application where you can be reached.
