First Year Residential Experience (FYRE)
FYRE Resident Fellows
FYRE Fellows live and work with a diverse population of students in the FYRE communities across ASU’s Tempe campus. Students filling the Fellow position work to bridge the gap between campus life and academic support within the residence halls. Fellows connect residential students with academic support services through facilitation of Success Workshops, LSS classroom presentations, programming and collaboration with Residential Education, academic faculty, and staff. Serving as a peer advocate, leader, and resource referral for first-year students in their community, Fellows provide a presence of resources and academic support within their community. Fellows assist students in navigating and making connections within the university environment, role model success strategies, and provide an intentional focus on supporting first-year students in their transitions to the ASU community.
