Welcome ASU Parents!
Congratulations to you and your student. The Transition and Parent Programs office would like to welcome you to the Arizona State University family. Our mission
is to coordinate and direct transition activities and services for new students and families. We encourage you and your student to participate in our many activities,
and programs including Fall Welcome, More to Explore, and Family Weekend.
Fall Welcome : Welcome Week
Get acquainted with the campus, learn ASU traditions, and become
familiar with ASU services and resources. White washing the "A,"
attend a workshop or meet with ASU faculty and staff, with more
than 100 events, Sun Devil 101 is the best way to become a part
of the ASU community.
Enjoy the experience; spend a day in the life of an ASU Sun Devil! This weekend event is a tradition that every Sun Devil family should experience. Every year, ASU
invites parents and families of students to come to campus and see what the college experience is about. This is an opportunity to show ASU pride by cheering on
the football team, interact with parents across the nation, visit student classes to get connected with ASU and all of its resources.
More to Explore
Once classes have begun, there is still more to explore at ASU's Tempe campus. More to Explore events run the first three weeks of the Spring semester. Find out
what 102 things every Sun Devil should experience, attend an open house, go to a football game, check out an activity brought to you by a campus organization or
club. More to explore calendars will be available across campus the first week of school and at More to Explore.
ASU's Spring Welcome Program is held at the Tempe campus in January, the week before spring classes begins. This program is intended for both incoming freshmen
and transfer students who have been admitted to Tempe campus for the spring semester.
Attending the Spring Welcome is a great way to start your ASU experience.
This is an exciting period for you and your student. During your students' time at ASU they will encounter a variety of experiences that will benefit them
academically, socially and emotionally. As a Sun Devil, your student will become part of a tradition of academic excellence, diversity, community building and
involvement and personal growth. We understand that you may have questions and occasional concerns, feel free to contact us directly through our website at
Transition and Parent Programs or call 480-965-4564. We look forward to
seeing you in the future and to an exciting and successful year.
