What is a Sun Devil Star? They are an undergraduate student at ASU who exemplifies these following characteristics: makes a positive contribution to the ASU community; demonstrates support leadership; and serves as a role model to other Sun Devils through both service and academics. This award is designed to recognize students who embody the true Sun Devil spirit.
Sun Devil Stars ceremony recognizes and celebrates the contributions of ASU students who are not necessarily in a visible leadership role but who have made a positive impact on the ASU community as leaders and role models.
All students nominated by ASU staff and faculty go through a selection process. Those who meet the above criteria are honored at a ceremony held in March. Students are eligible to receive the Sun Devil Star award only once. Please view Sun Devil Star Past Recipients to make sure the student being nominated has not already been recognized. Students who have demonstrated that they meet or exceed all the characteristics of the Sun Devil Star Award will receive an invitation to the award ceremony. The ASU faculty or staff who nominated the student will also be invited to the event.
Please contact Ashley Irvin at (480) 965-9600 with any questions. Sun Devil Stars is sponsored by ASU’s Campus Activities.
