Memorial Union Window Painting Contest

 

Interested in demonstrating your creativity and showing the historic rivalry between ASU and U of A and for showing Sun Devil Spirit at the same time? We invite you to participate in the 2012 Memorial Union "Beat U of A" Window Painting Contest!

You will be judged based on 3 categories:

• ASU’s Beat U of A Theme- Have you incorporated this theme into your decorations? Please get creative!
• ASU Spirit- How well does your window model ASU spirit, pride and traditions?
• Creativity- This is up to you to decide!

Application Deadline: Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013 5 p.m.

Notification of Contest Participants:  Feb. 22, 2013 10 a.m.

Window Painting Contest Date: Friday, March 1, 2013 3 - 7 p.m.

Judging/ Announcement of Winners: Judging will take place no later than Friday, March 22, 2013 10 a.m. followed by the announcement of winners.

To participate, registered student organizations must complete a Contest Application and submit a diagram/drawing (8 ½” x 11”) of their purposed window display.  All registrations are tentative until the MUAB advisor has reviewed and agreed to the "Beat U of A" themes of Sun Devil Pride, Spirit, and Tradition in the group’s design concept.  All applicants will be notified the week of February 22th as to whether their display will be chosen for the contest and be permitted in the building.  With only eight window spaces available, the competition is fierce.

The 1st, 2nd and 3rd place window displays will receive fun prizes.
