Why log your community service hours

Logging your community service hours is important for both you and ASU!

For you: Keeping track of the time you give to your community is helpful for applying for scholarships, professional and graduate school and student leadership positions. Volunteer experience on your resume can show potential employers your commitment not only to your studies, but to the community around you. You can also use your tracked hours to apply for awards such as the Presidents Medal for Volunteer Service for you and/or your student organization.

For ASU: Arizona State University prides itself on the number of students that are volunteering in their communities. As you record your hours, we can accurately count the impact you and your fellow students are having in the world around you. This helps us apply for national service recognition such as the President’s Higher Education Honor Roll as well as other funding opportunities.
