Applications are now being accepted for Outstanding Student Leader ($200 book scholarship) and the Josiah N. Moore Scholarship (in the amount of $1,000). Both awards are part of the annual Josiah N. Moore Memorial Scholarship Benefit Dinner planned for Saturday, October 28, at the Marriott Buttes Resort in Tempe. If you know any Native American student leaders deserving of the award, please feel free to forward this information to them or nominate the individual yourself. QUESTAR FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMThe QUESTAR FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP was established to provide one or more scholarships for undergraduate Native American students from tribes who live along Questar Pipeline Companys Southern Trails Pipeline. It is the donors intent to assist good students who otherwise may not be able to attend school. Questar encourages students who accept scholarships to return the gift by providing assistance to others once they are successful. This scholarship is open to Arizona residents and non-Arizona residents.CRITERIA:· Must be a U.S. citizen· Must be an American Indian from one of the tribes living along the Questar Pipeline Companys Southern Trails-Pipeline including, but not limited to, Navajo, Hopi and Fort Mojave. · Must be first-degree seeking an undergraduate degree. · Must be registered for 12 credit hours each semester at ASU or 6 credit hours per summer session. · Have a minimum 2.00 ASU cumulative G.P.A. and show progression toward a degree. · American Indian students must be enrolled in a federally recognized Indian Tribe (must provide CIB/Enrollment number). · The scholarship is a one-time award (up to $500). · Recipient must be registered at the American Indian Institute.
