Adult Re-Entry Services

Gain a sense of community

The adult re-entry program is located in the Center for Off-Campus and Commuter Student Services, 915 S. Rural.  Our student space features:

  • individual and small group study areas
  • relaxation space where you can meet students like yourself, make new friends, have a snack or bring a light lunch
  • computers for homework, research, or ASU-related needs
  • get information about services available to you on campus

Or get involved in the adult student organization, Omicron Lambda Delta (OLD), and Adult Re-entry Transitions (ART) to experience support and social activities for you and sometimes your family too!

We want to help you get into college and successfully meet your goals!

Resources

Pre-Enrollment Advising

Are you stuck navigating ASU’s website? Having difficulty filling out the on-line application?  Or just have a question about what to do, how to do it, or when to do it?  Want some help deciding on the best program for you? The ARE staff will help via a quick phone call, perhaps followed by a visit. You’ll get the information you need to make your decisions and follow up on your own.

Orientation

Each semester’s Adult Re-entry Orientation session is the first point of contact for students and the ARE Program. You will meet others, share a bit of yourself, discover common ground, make friends and contacts, and discover that you too are a resource for other students! Watch the website for dates!  Please call to reserve your space!

Peer Partners

Other students are also resources to each other. Community and student peer partners assist students one to one, with solutions that address common problems. Touch base weekly to get questions answered, troubleshoot, and progress toward your goals.

Students who participate in this program benefit from the knowledge and wisdom of those who have “been there”.  Partners serve as positive role models, and demonstrate the success of adult re-entry students.

Scholarship Information for Adult Students

Need help completing your FAFSA? Or locating scholarship opportunities for yourself? Do you know what should be included in an application essay? The adult re-entry program will help you get your finance-related questions answered and provide suggestions for initiating your own personalized search for financial assistance, and help you put together a complete application.

University and Community Referral
Let us help you take advantage of the many resources available to you both on and off campus. The Adult Re-Entry Center is a clearinghouse of information. Numerous brochures, handouts, and resource materials are available, which can help you as you navigate through the university. In addition, our trained staff and volunteers can help you get the answers you need when you need them!
