Immunization

Required Vaccine: The Measles vaccine (MMR) is the only required vaccination at ASU. Students are required to document that they have had two measles vaccinations (one of which must be dated after 1979), or a lab test showing proof of immunity to the measles (rubeola). The MMR vaccine is available for a fee at the Campus Health Service. Submit your proof of immunity/immunization along with an Immunization Records Submission Form

The ASU Campus Health Service also strongly recommends immunization against meningococcal meningitis. This is a potentially fatal or devastating illness and the risk is higher for college students living in residence halls than for 18-23 year old persons not in college. Many campuses in the U.S. require this vaccine--which is available at the Campus Health Service.

Vaccines available at the Service include:

Hepatitis AHepatitis B
TetanusMeningococcal
PolioTwinrix (Hepatitis A & B)
Typhoid Varicella (chicken pox)
Yellow FeverMMR (measles, mumps, rubella)
RabiesPneumonia

Travel Vaccines

The Service provides travel vaccinations and travel health information for students traveling outside the United States. A travel appointment should be scheduled as far in advance as possible since some vaccines are given as a series over a six month period.
