Thinking About Quitting Smoking?

It's Time to Give it a Serious Try!

You can do it! People do it every day!
Here are some suggestions for things that you can do while you are considering becoming smoke-free:

  • Become aware of your smoking. Where and when do you smoke the most? Of all the cigarettes that you smoke, how many do you really enjoy? Do you have any smoking-related health symptoms? Cough, wheeze, shortness of breath? Women! Are you taking an oral contraceptive? Have you been told of the risks associated with smoking and "the pill?" Make a list of the negative effects smoking has on your life. Be honest! Make a list of all the benefits of quitting that you can think of. Post this list on fridge or desk!
  • Have you quit before and started smoking again? Many people need several tries to quit forever. TRY AGAIN!

Smoking cessation assistance is available at Campus Health Service. Call (480) 965-3349 to make an appointment!
