International Student TraditionsThe International Student Office (ISO) facilitates dynamic opportunities for ASU students, faculty and staff to participate in cultural interaction and exchange and to learn more about the many cultures represented at the university. Working in partnership with the students, other ASU departments and community organizations, the ISO strives to provide leadership to the Tempe campus in internationalization efforts. International Sun Devil Experience The ISO in partnership with Intercollegiate Athletics introduces international students to important ASU traditions in their journey to becoming a lifelong Sun Devil. International students receive email messages from the ISO about how to take advantage of opportunities to attend various athletic events and cheer our Sun Devils to victory with other international students. Don’t forget to wear your maroon and gold! World Festival In collaboration with the Coalition of International Students and other student organizations, the ISO presents the World Festival which celebrates the heritage and traditions of countries and cultures from around the world. The ISO has coordinated this event at ASU annually. Cultural Immersion Workshop In celebration of International Education Week, ISO delivers cultural immersion workshops designed to introduce ASU personnel to the history and culture of selected countries. |
