To get help in the event of a student's serious injury or illness:

1 Public Safety

ASU Police
911 (life-threatening or urgent)

24 Hours

Secures emergency medical treatment for injured or ill student(s).

(Emergency medical facility contacts family of student).

2 Psychological Support

Counseling & Consultation

After hours and weekends: C&C may be contacted via ASU Police. Call 911 or (480) 965-3456

Provides individual psychological support to student(s) including roommates, friends, significant others.

Provides support to affected student groups to help them discuss their reactions (critical incident debriefing).

3 University Support

Provides assistance to student(s) including roommates, friends, significant others regarding: absence letters, attendance/ enrollment options, and information and referrals to campus and community resources such as Disability Resource Center, if appropriate.

Provides assistance to family of student (e.g., locating personal belongings in extended absence).
