Student eligibility requirements (to obtain internship credit)
Participation in the Internship program is open to all students approved by the Dean of their College who meet the following:
- GPA requirements vary per academic department. Many departments require the student to be enrolled in the professional program, and be in academically good standing.
- Some departments do not offer academic credit for internships. Students should check directly with their department.
- Students must have completed a minimum of 35 semester hours of approved General Studies courses (in order to receive academic credit for the internship).
- Transfer students must complete 12 credit hours at ASU before applying for internships (Some departments may omit this requirement).
- Complete Career Services registration
Student eligibility requirements for co-ops
Participation in the Co-op program is open to all students approved by the Dean of their College who meet the following:
- A 2.5 minimum cumulative GPA and continuing student status
- Complete the minimum required credit hours based on departmental criteria requirements
- Transfer students must complete 12 credit hours of the required minimum departmental requirements at ASU
- Must be enrolled at ASU the semester prior to the first Co-op assignment and each semester between work periods
- Plan to graduate from ASU
- To participate in the on-campus internship/co-op interviewing process, complete Career Services registration
