- What is Sun Devil CareerLink?
Sun Devil CareerLink is the Arizona State University Career Services' web employment management system, powered by NACElink.
You can use Sun Devil CareerLink to view and apply for jobs that employers post specifically to ASU, and those they post nationally and internationally. You can also view and schedule on-campus interviews with employers for internships and full-time career positions, as well as make your resume available to employers.
Before registering, read the NACElink Connect Privacy Policy to know how your personal information will and will not be used.
- How Do I Register?
Registration is a 3-step process:
Enter your contact information
Enter your educational information
Enter your demographic information (Visa/work authorization information is required)
You can update your profile as needed.
- How Do I Upload My Resumes?
First, create your resume, preferably in MS Word. You can also create a cover letter, but you should not use a cover letter for on-campus recruiting (OCR). Many important resume-writing tips are available here.
Click on the "My Resumes" link at the top of the page. Follow the prompts. You can upload up to 10 resumes, but only one can be Primary.
If you update a resume after you have submitted it (but before the submittal deadline), the employer will see the changes.
- Where Do I See Jobs and Internships?
Use the "Search Jobs and Internships" link at the top of the page. There are three groups of opportunities available to you:
Jobs that are being filled thru on-campus interviewing
Jobs that are posted to ASU only (apply directly with employers thru Sun Devil CareerLink)
Jobs that are available to students nationally (apply directly with employers thru Sun Devil CareerLink)
- Where Do I See Who Is Coming On Campus To Recruit?
Use the "On-Campus Recruiting (OCR)" link at the top of the page. You'll be able to search for all OCR interviews, or you may use selected search criteria.
- What Is the Difference Between Pre-Select and Open Interview Schedules?
For the Pre-Selection process, while Career Services will encourage that resumes be submitted according to the employers' qualifications, no screening is performed prior to these resumes being made available to the employer. This allows all interested registered candidates to submit their resumes for consideration. Candidates are allowed to submit resumes until approximately three weeks prior to the interview date.
Open Schedules enable you to schedule interview times immediately, providing you are are registered with Career Services, meet or exceed the requirements for major, degree level, graduation date and work authorization type requested by the employer, and there are times available on the interview schedule.
- How Are Interviews Conducted?
Unless stated otherwise, all interview listed will be held on the north end of the 3rd floor of the Student Services (SSV) Building.
Have a seat in the Candidate Interview Waiting Area until the recruiter calls your name.
Cancellations and No-Shows are taken very seriously! If you cannot make your interview, notify the Career Services Office promptly. Cancellations must be made at least 2 working days prior to the interview day.
If you fail to show, you will lose your access to Sun Devil CareerLink and must contact a Career Services walk-in advisor to be reinstated. You will need to bring a copy of your letter of explanation to the walk-in advisor. If you have a second No-Show, you will be required to meet with the Associate Director of Career Services to discuss the situation.
- Why Do I Want a Job Search Agent?
An agent will make your job search a lot easier. It will monitor jobs as they are posted and email you when there is a match to your criteria. Use the "My Job Search Agents" link on your Desktop. You can have up to 10 agents and give each its own name.
