Application Systems Analyst, Principal

Hi Everybody!
I have worked in various capacities at ASU since 1977. I presently support the ASU Data Warehouse and ASSIST users. My areas of expertise include student data, Brio query products, database and training design. I track the ware-q@asu.edu support activity to make sure everyone's questions are answered and work with Warehouse users to produce reports. I also help develop policies with respect to data usage at ASU. I hold degrees in Clinical Laboratory Science, Education, and Information Systems in Industrial Engineering. I have worked at Arizona State University for over 13 years. I have over 30 years experience in Information Technology related areas. My first ten years at ASU were spent working in Information Technology as a systems analyst. The last several years have been spent working in Data Administration. My primary responsibility is to support the Affiliate Management System and database. You can learn about Affiliate at www.asu.edu/affiliate/. I also work closely with Information Technology in resolving data issues and perform a consulting role on IT related projects. Since I have been in Data Administration, I have been active in drafting data policies, definitions and standards.

Systems Analyst Sr.

Hello!
I came on board ASU in 2001. My job responsibilities are as an analyst for the ASU Retention Project, under the direction of the Office of the Provost, as well as, support of the ASU Data Warehouse users. I enjoy dabbling in all phases of software project management from requirements gathering to deployment. I provide technical feedback to the retention-q@asu.edu inquiries from users of the ASU Freshman Retention Tool application. My work includes supporting warehouse users via ware-q@asu.edu, also . I facilitate for my clients the creation of business rules and best practices to complement the use of their applications. The goal of the ASU Retention Project is to improve and affect retention from the university level. I have a bachelor of science degree in computer science (N.C. State University) .

Administrative Associate

Of the 15 years I have worked at ASU, I have spent the last 7 at Data Administration. I provide administrative, financial and HR staff support to the office and Data Warehouse users. I handle budgets and PO's for BrioQuery software and Warehouse training classes. I hold a degree in Political Science (Poona University, India) but my subsequent experience and coursework has been in Accounting. With an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Osmania University in India, I ventured into the area of computers specializing in Information Systems from the Department of Industrial Engineering at ASU. During the course of my stay at ASU, I have gained invaluable experience in the area of Systems Support and Web Development.
