Affirmative action and Equal opportunity
Affirmative action and Equal Opportunity strikes at the heart of deeply held beliefs about employment and education, about fairness, and about the troubled history of race and gender relations in America. This forum will give its participants a balanced, unbiased, and easily understood account of these highly contentious topics. It will offer attendees an opportunity to learn about, and discuss them in a non-confrontational environment. The Healing Racism committee, and our partners, seek to educate citizens about the history and life of Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity, and to help our community make informed, reasoned decisions about two of the most relevant issues of our time.
All are held (Check new time) from 5:30-7:30 pm in the Phoenix College Dome Conference Room at 3110 N. 10th Avenue, Phoenix (N. E. Corner of 11th Avenue & Flower, just south of Osborn). They are free and open to the public. Pre-registration is requested, as space may be limited.
