Let's Talk
Current Events Panel Discussion
In an effort to engage the ASU community on issues immediately relevant to ASU, our city, state, country, and the world at large, the Intergroup Relations Center is hosting a series of panel discussions based on current social justice events. The panel discussions will present each subject within its historical context, will feature expert, student, and faculty panelists, and will each include a Q&A session and small and large group discussions.
Interracial Dating and Marriage
January 30, 2008
3:30 - 5:30 PM
Coor 170
Are you or have you ever been involved in an “interracial” relationship? What are your personal views on interracial dating? Whether you wholeheartedly support interracial relationships or have some reservations, we offer you the opportunity to get a historical perspective from award winning scholar, teacher and activist, Dr. Matthew Whitaker.
Participants will also interact with a diverse panel of ASU students as they express their personal views on interracial dating and marriage. An audience question and answer period will follow the forum discussion.
This event is free and open to the public.
