Program Coordinator, Sr., Teri Murphy moderated two evening dialogues as part of the Memory, Narrative & Forgiveness conference in Cape Town, South Africa. The conference brought together international scholars and activists for 'Reflecting on 10 Years of South Africa's Truth and Reconciliation Commission' and ongoing work around the world in intergroup justice, healing and peace-building.

Asst. Director Thomas Walker was invited to speak January 19th, as part of the "Faces of Diversity" brown bag series, sponsored by the Phoenix Human Relations Commission and the Equal Opportunity Dept. The ongoing series asks Valley residents to share their stories about diversity in the community. Walker's story, focused on his experience around gender, was titled "Mama's Boy meets Man of the House: The make-up of one modern man," and was broadcast on Phoenix Channel 11, the city's government access station.

Dr. Delia Saenz, is the new director of ASU's Intergroup Relations Center (IRC), effective July 10. See Insight article.

ASU researchers with the Women of Color Research Collective (WoCRC) based within the Intergroup Relations Center have garnered a $300,000 Ford Foundation grant to study diversity efforts in American universities. See Insight article.
