Short courses and Lectures are offered through the Emeritus Academy for Continued Learning to various organizations in the greater Phoenix area who are committed to bringing substantive instruction in contemporary subjects from the sciences, humanities and arts to the general population. To lecture or teach a short course under the Emeritus College's auspices, an individual must be a member, associate member or affiliate member of the Emeritus College. Short courses ordinarily involve ten contact hours grouped usually in two-hour segments. Venue and compensation are determined by the patron organization.
