NAAC General Meetings:

All are invited to attend NAAC General Meetings to learn about what NAAC is currently planning, touch base with fellow alums and over all have some fun.  We are always looking for assistance in coordinating certain events and seeking new ideas.  So don’t hesitate to stop by and see what NAAC is all about!

What was formally known as the Native American Freshmen Welcome has now been reformatted to the Welcome Carnival.  Departments, programs and student organizations will host an activity, game or promotional give-a-ways to provide new incoming students with their information.  NAAC is involved and will be collecting donations from members to provide student survival packs.  Please contact Vickie.Balwin@asu.edu for more information. 

 

13th Annual Josiah N. Moore Memorial Scholarship Benefit Dinner

The Native American Alumni Chapter dedicated a scholarship in memory of Josiah N. Moore to fulfill his lifelong dream of providing and improving educational programs for Native Americans.  Through the Josiah N. Moore Memorial Scholarship Benefit Dinner, the chapter raises funds to assist in the cost of tuition and books for selected Native American students attending Arizona State University.  The event includes dinner, entertainment, student and alum recognition, silent auction and more.  Please contact Lambert.Yazzie@asu.edu for more information.

NAAC has developed its relationship with the student organization called NATIONS (Native Americans Taking Initiative ON Success).  Working with the student organization NATIONS, we co-host this networking event.  The event enhances the relationship between students and alumni to provide possible opportunities of internship, jobs and career exploration.
