President Barack Obama Scholar Program - Seeking Mentors!

ASU recently announced the establishment of the President Barack Obama Scholars Program, which increases accessibility to higher education for more Arizona students.  Students will not only have a strong financial aid package which covers direct costs, they will also participate in a one-on-one mentoring program.

As a faculty or staff member working in education, you understand the importance of connecting with and mentoring new students.  Students involved in a one-on-one mentoring relationship have a positive ASU experience, utilize support and tutoring services, are more likely to continue and complete their degree, and become more involved on campus in large part because of their mentor’s recommendations.  Mentoring is a wonderful opportunity to directly impact the academic and personal development of an incoming ASU freshman.

To sign up as a mentor, click here and complete a brief mentor inquiry form.

If you have any questions, or need additional information, please contact Kenneth Hollin at 965.3042 or e-mail Ken.Hollin@asu.edu
