Student Organization in need of Fall Welcome volunteers!
Health and
Counseling Student Action Committee, the student health advisory group that
works closely with administration to implement pertinent health programming and
policy, is in need of lots of volunteers for Fall Welcome. Each year we promote
meningitis prevention and offer on-site vaccination through Campus Health
Services. You'll get to meet a lot of new students and show them Sun Devil
hospitality as they move into their new home for the next four years. The work
primarily entails talking with incoming freshman and their parents about the
benefits of the meningitis vaccine as they go through the residence hall
check-in process. If you are not aware, the disease is life threatening, and
those living in close proximity to many others, as in college dorms, are at
increased risk. All the information that you need in order to volunteer
effectively will be provided.
