CONGRATULATIONS ASU SUN DEVIL FOOTBALL
Holiday Bowl Game Tickets On Sale
Please join me in congratulating our Sun Devil Football team on its successful
8-5 winning season, which is being rewarded with a trip to the Pacific Life
Holiday Bowl in San Diego on Friday, Dec. 27 to compete against the Kansas State
Wildcats.
This bowl opportunity provides excellent national exposure for ASU and I want
to commend Coach Dirk Koetter, his staff, and Executive Director of Athletics
Gene Smith for their outstanding leadership. The players deserve special praise
for their hard work, dedication and commitment both on and off the field.
I hope as many people as possible can make the trip to San Diego to support
the team and ASU athletics. The ASU Athletic Ticket Office is selling tickets
for $44 to the general public and $25 for ASU students. The Intercollegiate
Athletic Department is subsidizing $19 of the $44 ticket for students to make
it more affordable for them to purchase tickets to the game.
Big 12 Conference Kansas State Wildcats (10-2) outscored their opponents 548-127
(45.7 ppg/10.6 ppg) this year, featuring running back Darrem Sproles (1,347
yards, 16 touchdowns. Quarterback Ell Roberson passed for 1,365 yards
and six touchdowns and rushed for 969 yards and 13 touchdowns. The defense features
cornerback Terence Newman, who was a Nagurski candidate, along with ASU’s
Terrell Suggs, who received the national award for the nation’s top defensive
back.
The Sun Devil ticket office is extending its hours until 6:00 p.m. during the
weeks of December 9-13 and 16-20 to accommodate telephone and walk-up purchases.
The ticket office telephone number is 480-965-2381, or make your purchase in
person at the ticket office located at the South end of Sun Devil Stadium at
the Carson Student-Athlete Center.
