motion

Katherine Hayles describes text as becoming ‘eventilised’ in the digital. As the result of a programmed string of commands, a text on the screen is not a single static form autonomous from the systems that bring it into being. I wished to surface this ‘event’ through animation on the page, to explore the temporal dimension that this directioned sequential link of processes creates, that prevents any instantiation in the digital realm from being static. I was curious to see how the syntax and form of a poem would change with the introduction of motion, when no longer held in the fixed sequence of a page.
