A. K. Allin is a sailor, climber, curator and poet. She is currently completing a master’s degree in Creative Writing at The City College of New York. She founded and curates ‘City X-Posed’, a graduate reading series, at Soho20 Gallery in Chelsea. She produced a CD earlier this year, The City Within, featuring CCNY poets, artists and musicians. Her work has appeared in Crab Creek Review, La Petite Zine, Snow Monkey, Promethean, One Three Eight, Poetry in Performance, and has been set to music by singer-songwriter Humberto Cordero of Hum & the Quick. A. K. Allin was a mountain climbing ranger on Mount Rainier this summer. She lives in Brooklyn.
