About Global Outreach

The Program for Global Engagement at the Virginia G. Piper Center for Creative Writing focuses on providing fully funded international opportunities for students in the Master of Fine Arts program in Creative Writing. We are committed to exploring and engaging culture while providing creative writing opportunities around the world for our students. We provide support for them to teach abroad, to attend workshops, and to participate in international conferences.

Over the past three years, ASU MFA students traveled over 630,000 miles on Piper Global International Fellowships

ASU MFA students crossed 19 time zones on Piper Global trips in 2008, and again in 2009

•

Since 2007, Piper Global has sponsored 18 trips to 10 countries

•

13 faculty from universities in 5 countries visited ASU through Piper Global within the last two years
