Patrick Michael Finn's first book, A Martyr for Suzy Kosasovich, winner of the 2006 Ruthanne Wiley Memorial Novella Competition, selected by Tom Barbash, was published this year by the Cleveland State University Poetry Center. A winner of many fiction prizes, including the AWP Intro Award and the 2004 Third Coast Fiction Award, judged by Stuart Dybek, Finn's fiction has appeared in Quarterly West, Ploughshares, Punk Planet, The Richmond Review, Triquarterly, Third Coast, Houghton Mifflin's Best American Mystery Stories 2004, and also received a Pushcart Prize Distinguished Story Citation. He completed his B.A. at the University of California, Riverside, and his M.F.A. at the University of Arizona, where he was a Dean's Teaching Fellow. Finn has also taught at Western Nebraska Community College and the University of North Carolina at Asheville. In 2007 he founded and currently coordinates the creative writing program at Chandler-Gilbert Community College.
