Her work has been short-listed in Best American Short Stories and won awards from the Bread Loaf and Sewanee Writers' Conferences and the Atlantic Monthly. Born in Michigan, she received her MFA from Arizona State University where she was the 2006-2007 Theresa A. Wilhoit Fellow.
