Paul Morris holds an M.F.A. in creative nonfiction writing from Goucher College, plus an M.A. in Humanities from Southern Oregon University. His B.A. in English is from Arizona State University. He is a well-published writer with many poems, translations, essays and articles. His work has appeared in publications such as “Fever Dreams: Poets of the American Southwest,” “Translation,” “Black Warrior Review,” “the threepenny review,” “Crazyhorse,” “Hayden's Ferry Review,” “Alaska Quarterly” and he has been nominated for three Pushcart Awards. He was awarded a poetry fellowship and an artist project grant from the Arizona Commission on the Arts. He is featured as a writer at large with his Valley Notebook essays in each issue of the the Valley Guide Quarterly. Paul Morris has taught creative writing and literature at ASU for more than 18 years and is the founding director of the Master of Liberal Studies program.
