Frequently Asked Questions
Why should I join the Piper Online Book Club?
The club is perfect for working adults and people with busy lifestyles who may find it difficult to attend regular book club meetings. Your level of participation is completely up to you. Because the book club is online, you can participate at 11 am or 11 pm—whatever suits you best. You can also read at your own pace.
What kinds of books will you choose for future selections?
We're committed to providing our members with a rotating selection of poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction.
How do you decide which book is selected?
We will generally select books by upcoming Piper Center for Creative Writing guests to coincide with a visit or residency. Our goal is to provide Piper Online Book Club members an opportunity to meet authors or to hear them read as often as possible.
Where can I purchase the current selection?
Book Club selections are available through the ASU Bookstore, or you may use another online retailer or brick-and-mortar store to purchase a copy.
How does an online book club work?
The Piper Online Book Club is run through an e-mail listserve. As soon as you are registered into our system, you will receive an e-mail explaining how to use the listserve. An e-mail sent to the listserve will be distributed to each of our members allowing everyone to see the discussion taking place. As always, if you have any questions or concerns do not hesitate to ask.
