Proficiency Profile Overview

Starting in fall 2011, ASU began a longitudinal study of approximately 5,000 students using the ETS Proficiency Profile to contribute to understanding the "value-added" of our educational curriculum. The ETS Proficiency Profile helps assess learning gains in reading/critical thinking, writing, and mathematics. Students in the cohort will be tested again as sophomores and finally as seniors to track their learning while at ASU.
