Museums, Galleries and Collections

ASU has many collections of fine arts on Tempe Campus. The largest is the ASU Art Museum, which has an extensive art collection. Much of the work on display in the various galleries are from our own faculty, staff and students. The ISA Computing Commons Gallery displays fine art created with some of the latest technologies.

ASU has a variety of collections that reflect much of ASU's and Arizona's history and culture. The Archaeological Research Institute includes a collection of Arizona artifacts ASU also has a Museum of Anthropology and the Luhrs Gallery, which exhibits the collections of historical writings and manuscripts about Arizona.

ASU also has a number of Natural Science exhibits, including the Mars Space Flight Facility, known for its photographs of Mars. The R.S. Dietz Museum of Geology houses minerals, gems and fossils from around the world. Our Living Collections contains Arizona's only complete collection of all eighteen sub-species of Arizona native rattlesnakes, and the Center for Meteorite Studies has one of the world's largest meteorite collections.

In addition, ASU has the largest public urban arboretum in Arizona, and has a large collection of public art that is found throughout the entire Tempe Campus. Read More
