D. Vaughn Becker
Assistant Professor, Department of Applied Psychology
Dr. Becker received his doctorate from ASU with a dual emphasis in cognitive and social psychology. He has published in the areas of evolutionary psychology, dynamical systems theory, interpersonal relationships, memory, and word recognition. He is currently researching signal detection in fundamental social domains, particularly with regard to expression perception. He is also interested in investigating how the dynamics and self-organization of complex social systems might be influenced by ecological and evolutionary factors, particularly with regard to social traps and mating-related behaviors.
