Rimjhim M. Aggarwal
Assistant Professor, School of Sustainability

Dr. Aggarwal received her Ph.D. in economics from Cornell University. Before joining Arizona State University, she was an assistant professor at the University of Maryland, in College Park. She has held visiting positions at the University of California, Berkeley and Southern Methodist University, and has served as a consultant to the World Bank and the United Nations University World Institute of Development Economics Research in Helsinki, Finland. During her academic career, Dr. Aggarwal has conducted extensive theoretical and empirical research on the linkages between poverty, environmental degradation and population in South Asia and Africa. Her recent research interests center on the emerging tradeoffs between water resources and growing demands of agriculture in dry land regions.

Jay Golden
Assistant Professor, School of Sustainability and Affiliate in the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering

Dr. Golden received his Ph.D. in engineering from the Cambridge-MIT Institute (CMI) a joint program of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the University of Cambridge where he resided at Wolfson College. He received his masters degree from the Cambridge-MIT Institute in Environmental Engineering and Sustainable Development. Dr. Golden also holds a Mastery of Project Management from Stanford University and has a bachelor's degree in management. He is the Director of the EPA designated National C enter of Excellence on SMART Innovations for Urban Climate and Energy which focuses on emerging material and technology innovations to meet the demands of sustainable development in rapidly urbanizing regions around the globe. Dr. Golden was appointed to the United Nations Life Cycle Management Task Force, is an AT&T Industrial Ecology Fellow, and is a U.S. representative on the Council of Parties for Climate Change. He serves as Special Advisor on Sustainable Technologies and Urban Climate as well as various Environmental Quality Advisory Boards for local and regional governments and industry.
