Christopher Miller
Assistant Librarian, Collections & Scholarly Communications

Mr. Miller's professional interest in Southeast Asia developed from ethnomusicological research, including field research for a combined two and one half years in Indonesia and 18 months in Myanmar (Burma) supported in part by a fellowship from the Blakemore Foundation. As Southeast Asian studies bibliographer for Arizona State University, Mr. Miller is responsible for the development of the English language and vernacular Southeast Asia collections, and he frequently conducts l ibrary acquisitions trips to the region. Mr. Miller compiled and edited Music of Burma: The Muriel Williamson Collection, an audio collection of traditional Bamar music on fourteen compact discs; additionally, he serves as the coordinating editor for the Journal of Burma Studies. Mr. Miller holds a M.A. in information resources and library science from the University of Arizona, and a master's of music degree from Northern Illinois University.

 

Scott P. Muir
Library Director, Information Commons

Mr. Muir is the library director in the Information Commons at the downtown Phoenix campus. He is a native of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, and completed his master's degree at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. Muir worked at the Georgia Power Company library before transitioning into higher education. He worked at The University of Alabama, Boston College, and the Detroit Area Library Network based at Wayne State University , and Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Mr. Muir is currently working on another master's degree in technology studies.

 

Anali Maughan Perry
Assistant Librarian, Collections & Scholarly Communications

Ms. Perry received her master's degree in information resources and library science from the University of Arizona in 2005, and her bachelor's of music in guitar performance from Arizona State University in 2000. Prior to completing her master's degree, she worked as a library specialist at Arizona State University for six years in the interlibrary loan department. She serves as the interim reference and instruction librarian in Arizona State University 's music library.
