Marjorie E. Kornhauser
Professor
Dr. Kornhauser joins Arizona State University from Tulane University Law School where she was W.R. Irby Professor of Law. She teaches federal income tax and tax policy. Her research, focusing on the intersection of United States federal income taxation and society, explores the philosophical, social, political, and historical aspects of taxation. Professor Kornhauser received degrees from Wellesley College (B.A.), Harvard University (M.Ed.), and Cleveland State University (J.D., summa cum laude ).
Eric Menkhus
Associate Clinical Professor and Director of the Technology Ventures Clinic
Professor Menkhus joined the College of Law in 2004 as the manager of the Technology Ventures Clinic. In 2005, he became the director of the Technology Ventures Clinic and received an appointment as a visiting associate clinical professor. Professor Menkhus works with students from various educational backgrounds, including engineering, science, business, and law. The TVC students learn about the technology commercialization process (i.e. taking an idea to market) and are exposed to important foundational concepts, such as patent law, market research, technology assessment, and commercialization strategy formulation. These concepts are taught through hands on project work in conjunction with Arizona Technology Enterprises, the technology transfer office for Arizona State University . Students work in loose multidisciplinary schemes to assess the commercial and patent potential for the new technologies developed at the university. The TVC's relationship with bioengineering students began in 2004 and continues today, with both graduate and undergraduate students participating. Mr. Menkhus received his B.S.E. (1996), J.D. (2004) and M.B.A. (2004) degrees from Arizona State University .
