Barrett, the Honors College

Barrett, the Honors College at ASU is consistently recognized nationally as a top honors experience. The honors college experience extends to students at all four ASU campuses in any undergraduate major. Barrett combines the caring and community of a top small college with the resources of a major public university. In Fall 2009, Barrett opened its new honors campus at ASU's Tempe campus – the only four-year residential honors campus in the nation.

Barrett students benefit from the following:

  • $12 million endowment used exclusively to support honors students and their projects
  • Residence in a new, nine-acre campus just for honors students, along with unique residential communities at each of the four campuses
  • Funded research opportunities, honors-only study abroad programs, and internships in more than 150 different disciplines
  • Dedicated honors faculty, along with one-on-one mentoring from faculty honors advisors on thesis and creative projects
  • A community that celebrates diversity and academic excellence, with more than 1000 National Merit, Hispanic and Achievement Scholars
