Description

Named “the single most impressive venue for contemporary art in Arizona” by Art in America magazine, the ASU Art Museum collection comprises 12,486 pieces of art, including 234 works by 84 Cuban artists — the most important collection of contemporary Cuban art outside the island. Its exhibitions present contemporary art in interactive formats, with emphasis on new ideas and media. Part of the ASU Herberger College of the Arts, the museum serves a diverse community of artists and audiences through innovative programming. It hosts an annual short film and video festival and family fun day. Free and open to the public. Tours may be arranged in advance.
